Like Flowers is a digital collage of self-portraits taken under stroboscopic lights. By pairing flashing lights with long exposures and by performing in front of the camera, d'Alessandro is able to dissect and capture his own movements, which then create unfamiliar figures. He then arranges these figures to create a more familiar scene and to explore how growth can be experienced differently, but always through time.
